For people who did not purchase their puppy from us, the following is crucial information you may not be aware of. At Family Pet and Aquarium over the past 11 years, we have seen some sellers giving despicable advice which has serious health consequences for the poor little puppy.
- Find out the exact age of the pup
- Obtain a list of all types of food the pup has eaten since weaning
- Call one of our senior staff members on 5241 2235 to be advised on what the puppy should be eating and how to go about this change with the minimum impact on the pup.
- Observe your pup closely over the next week plus to ensure it is eating well but more importantly, is drinking well. Also monitor the puppy’s poo for consistency and colour.
- If your puppy gets diarrhoea, you must contact your vet or you can contact us to advise you how to manage this situation. As our customers are aware, puppies can become dehydrated very quickly with dire consequences which must not be left unattended for more than a few hours. Info
